Committees

While the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce has an amazing and efficient staff, we can't always do everything ourselves. The chamber has several committees, which are staffed by our members to assist with events and to help us keep on track and on top of current issues. Several of our committees meet on an "as needed basis" where others have scheduled monthly meetings. All committees are always looking for new members to participate and offer new ideas and opinions. the following is a run down of the chamber's committees.

Groton Business Association
The GBA brings the business community together, through monthly meetings, Groton Business Updates and Economic Forecasts. The GBA also coordinates the Groton Lights Parade and Groton’s Fall Festival. Groton Business Association

Holiday Lighted Boat Parade
For the hearty souls who keep their boats in the water and commissioned into early winter, please join us on Saturday, November 28th, 2009, as we continue a new tradition in Mystic; a Parade of lighted and decorated vessels. Vessels will parade down the Mystic River at 6:20 pm and return to the Mystic River Park, where spectators will be gathered. Judging and awards take place for the most spectacular vessels. Vessels of any size are welcome, and the only cost to participate is a toy for the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center.

If you would like to be a part of the Holiday Lighted Boat Parade please email the application and a copy of your insurance to alexa@mysticchamber.org or you can fax it to 860-572-9273. We need the application and your insurance by 10 am on Saturday, November 28th.

The application is below as is the informative packet that has specific instructions for the day of the parade.
