The Groton Business Association organized the first Groton Festival in 2006. It was born from an idea to create a community-wide event that would attract artists, crafters and businesses and nonprofit organizations to display their wares and information at Poquonnock Plains Park in Groton. Since its inception, the Fall Festival has grown dramatically. We now have over 110 vendors participating, and thousands of people from the local area and throughout the New England region attending this annual event.

Net proceeds from the festival will be used to support GBA events, including Groton’s Annual Holiday Lights Parade in December and projects throughout the year. For more information, contact This email address is being protected from spambots. Business After Hours - 2nd Tuesday 5:30 pm

Business After Hours is traditionally the second Tuesday of every month from 5:30pm-7pm. Enjoy food, beverages, and raffle prizes, and meet your neighbors in the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce business community. There are also opportunities for our Members to host an event, and showcase their business and the services they offer.  Often times, our gatherings turn into all-out adventures, like our BAH meeting at Mystified Escape Rooms in February, or Naskart Racing scheduled for October of this year. Bring raffle items and get a coupon that allows you free entry into the next Business After Hours meeting. Entry fee at the door is $10 for GMCC members and $20 for guests, and there is an option for invoicing. Do you attend all of our events? Purchase a Yearly Passport and take advantage of the savings.

Business Before Hours - 1st Thursday 8:00 am

Business Before Hours is a before-work networking event hosted by chamber member businesses all throughout the year, traditionally First Thursdays.  Coffee, pastries and raffle prizes. Showcase your business by hosting; meet your neighbors, announce your latest event, or introduce your new business by attending. No RSVP required. No charge to attend. Non-members welcome. To host, contact Kristin Hartnett at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Ribbon Cutting Events

Ribbon Cuttings are a great way to do  business-to-business networking - introduce yourself to new business owners, and welcome them into our Greater Mystic business community. Refreshments are served, and an elected official is scheduled to attend the ceremony. Usually 4:30 pm on weekdays, subscribe to our EBLAST Newsletter to get updates on all events.

Groton Business Association - 3rd Thursday

Join the Groton Business Association  on the third Thursday of every month! The GBA is an affiliation of the GMCC and its purpose is to promote small business in Groton and to foster a sense of community and awareness of what Groton has to offer. This free opportunity is a great way to meet local business owners and expand your business into the Groton area.
