CURE INNOVATION COMMONS TO HOST, PARTNERING WITH IGNITE, A PROGRAM OF THAMES RIVER INNOVATION PLACE
(Groton, CT - April 9, 2018) – CURE Innovation Commons will partner with the Ignite Program of Thames River Innovation Place to present Discrimination and Harassment Avoidance Training for entrepreneurs, small businesses and start-ups on Wednesday, April 25, from 3:00-5:00 pm. The event will take place at CURE Innovation Commons located at 93 Shennecossett Road in Groton, CT. The training will be presented by Mary Gambardella from Wiggin and Dana. Sexual harassment and discrimination are timely topics, even for small businesses or start-ups. Mary Gambardella, Partner and Chair of Wiggin and Dana’s Labor, Employment & Benefits Department, will provide an overview of the applicable laws and regulations governing workplace conduct, specifically those which prohibit discrimination and harassment. She will give practical examples and guidance on recommended policies and procedures, as well as how employers can best address workplace behavior which can give rise to claims.
